Blake and Katia's Baptism

Matt was sustained as Bishop a few weeks before the baptism.  That meant that Matt was able to interview both Blake and Katia before their baptism.  I asked Blake after his interview if he thought he passed the interview and he said he didn't know.  I also asked Katia how the interview went and she said that she was nervous.

There was a conflict with baptism times with another ward, so we had to adjust our times and did the baptism at 8:30 in the morning.  Pretty handy that Matt still had Julia's baptism program on his computer, so it was pretty easy to make the simple changes for their baptism. It was nice to have so many family come to the baptism since it was in combination with Gabi's farewell the next day.

It was nice to have the baptism early, so that we still had the rest of the day to do something.  We first went to lunch at El Chaparral.  They have some pretty tasty fajita platters that feed a lot of people.  They also have a playground that helps keep the kids entertained.  Then, we did a little sight seeing and went to the San Jose Mission.  It is neat because you can walk around and explore and it doesn't get too crazy crowded like the Alamo.  While we were walking around we got caught in a rain storm.  We ran for cover, but got soaked before we made it in the little church.  We were tempted to rent some of the bikes so the kids could ride to the next mission, but the weather was not going to cooperate.

Other things that the kids did was play mafia in our laundry room and took turns playing mario kart  on the wii.

Lots of pictures to add. Who came? Also Gabi's farewell
