After the second practice he commented to me, "It's funny that I am really good at catching but not very good at batting, but batting is the thing that I can practice on the Wii. It doesn't let you practice catching."
Brayden's season was short, which meant it didn't give Matt much time to practice. With Brayden's last 2 games approaching Matt finally took Brayden to a batting cage the night before to practice his swing. Matt ended up spending a couple of hours practicing and the next day at the game he was making hits every time he went up to bat. Matt commented to Brayden that the practicing had helped. He responded that it was his helmet that was lucky. He got the helmet right before they went to practice batting, so that had to be what made the difference.
