Temple with Gabi

Mamaquel and Grandpa were able to come to San Antonio to go with Gabi through the temple.  Matt's schedule that day allowed for him to also attend the Wednesday morning session.

They ended up being here for Grandpa's birthday.   

Hail storm

We had just been at Cynthia's house because it was Grandpa's birthday and we were celebrating. A little bit after we got home it sounded likes rocks crashing into the house.  Asher was scared about the noise that the Hail storm was making.  There was a lot of damage to the Helotes area, the grocery stores had to close the next day because of the damage.  Almost everyone in our area had damage to their roofs and had to have them replaced.  If cars were parked outside they got hail marks and broken windows, mirrors, or lights.  Unluckily Matt's newer car was parked outside and got damage, but our older van was parked in the garage and safe.  We did not get any broken windows, but damage to our roof, screens, fence, and wooden walkway in the back.

Matt's Birthday

Kylee did a great job in making a tool box cake for Matt's 41st birthday.  

Brayden's Track

Brayden likes to run.  He practices by running up the hill to our house.  He started out in track by running hurdles for the first couple of weeks.  He did well at the beginning, but then he didn't want to do hurdles any more.  He realized it was not his thing because you needed to be flexible and sprint.  He decided to do the mile at the last meet.  He had one of the faster times on the Jefferson team.  The season was pretty short.  They start in the middle of February and ended the beginning of April.  There was only 4 meets to attend.  

Easter

We had Easter dinner at our house followed by an Easter egg hunt.  

Cynthia and I filled 300-400 eggs with candy.  Plenty for everyone.

3 years house / Gabi's mission call

We celebrated 3 years in our house with Whataburger in the backyard.  

We went to the Herreras to watch Gabbi open her mission call on facetime.  Everyone was recording her reaction on their phones.  She was called to the Puebla, Mexico mission to be going in July.

Brayden glasses

Brayden was at an appointment for a physical for track.  He couldn't read the chart at the end of the hall when they went to check his eyes.  I called Matt and let him know, so he had us come on over so he could give him an eye exam.  He thought Brayden was just playing around, but soon discovered he wasn't.

Asher wanted to have the same treatment that Brayden was having.  He wanted to have his eyes checked too.
